We are pleased to share that within the #UIA ACADEMY OF HIGH LEGAL EDUCATION, the 2nd edition of the Summer Course “Business and Human Rights for Legal Practitioners” will take place in #Madrid, Spain, from July 6-9, 2022. The key note speaker will be Lene Wendland, the Chief of the Business and Human Rights Unit in UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (#OHCHR), Geneva, Switzerland.
On the panel “Compliance and Risk Management in Business Transactions”, our Partner Verena Moll will give insights of the German “Supply Chain Due Diligence Act” of 25 June 2021 (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz) which will apply as of 1 January 2023 and the French Due Diligence Act of 27 March 2017 (“Loi sur le devoir de vigilance”) already in force as a “pioneer” in this field.
